A Novel Bookstore

Spy games for book nerds! I was hooked when the book opened with a string of mysterious “accidents,” a little fidgety when it backed up and got a bit long-winded in the expository, but right back in when The Good Novel opened for business.
“Our concept is radical. It is a revolution in cultural behavior. Everybody nowadays agrees that too many uninteresting books are being published. We think this phenomenon is like a pollution of the mind and we are simply saying: enough. Let us refuse to see our taste polluted. Let’s refresh the air. Let’s breathe. We think we have a good chance of finding followers.”
So snotty, so fun. Makes an old bookseller smile–but not so everyone in the story…
