As we reported last month, Tea Party Bookshop in Salem, OR has found a new name, Tigress Books, more to avoid the problematic non-connection with a supposed “political party” with the same name than to indicate any change in store direction. Bookselling This Week has a nice article about the change and how the public has responded. Note, too, that the owner is inviting as many local authors as she can contact to help celebrate.
