Liberty Bay Books in Poulsbo, WA has a wonderful line-up of kids’ book creators for the first Poulsbo Kids’ Book Festival this weekend, November 15 and 16.
Friday, November 15, will be School Visit Day. Authors and illustrators will be at schools throughout Kitsap County, with an emphasis on visits for Title One schools. School Visit Day is being made possible by a generous grant from Sayuri and Dav Pilkey and Liberty Bay Books.
Saturday November 16 is the public Festival Day. From 11 am- 3 pm at the Sons of Norway Hall in Poulsbo, meet authors and illustrators, get books signed, enjoy story time and presentations, meet librarians, and get your face painted. If you get your festival passport stamped, you’ll be eligible for a grand prize. Visit the festival website for the list of authors and illustrators!
The Poulsbo Kids’ Book Festival will be held just a 5-minute walk from Liberty Bay Books. The store’s Saturday hours are 10 am – 5 pm, so you can make sure to pick out some grown-up books at the store, too.
You can donate online or in person to support the festival.
