On Wednesdays, the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association Bestseller List is published. Every week, we love to see what books have been most popular in independent bookstores around our region. As we peruse the list, we ponder patterns. Then we present this weekly feature: Thursday Themes.
We have been enjoying a magical, mysterious summer as readers, with many of our bestselling books featuring characters with powers and/or secrets. Sarah J. Maas continues to be well-represented on the bestseller list, but you all probably recognize those covers, so we figured they don’t really need the spotlight this week.
Look for these bestsellers in your local independent bookstore– on display or shelved in fantasy, mystery, horror, YA, and kids’ chapter books.
