Have you read Adriana Herrera yet?
Adriana Herrera has quickly become one of my must-read authors. The first novel in her American Dreamers quartet (American Dreamer) is the story of Dominican-American food truck owner Nesto and librarian Jude. Like all of Herrera’s books, it is full of food, family (biological and found), and flirting. It’s also incredibly hot, incredibly sweet, and unafraid of calling out discrimination and injustice. You will fall in love with these characters and with Nesto’s circle of childhood friends, all of whom get their own Happily Ever Afters in subsequent books.
Be warned, though, that you’ll want to buy all of the books in the series, PLUS He’s Come Undone (an anthology with a short story featuring side characters from this series) and Mangos and Mistletoe (Holidays! Baking!) and Finding Joy (saving the world–or at least making a little slice of it better–and falling in love). I love these books and cannot sing Herrera’s praises loudly enough. Go. Buy. Read.
