This rom-com had me up most of tonight to finish it. It’s about Bea, a plus-sized fashion blogger reeling from a massive douche of an ex. So she basically becomes the Bachelorette, as a way of proving to herself and the world that she deserves love. It was funny as hell, and sweet, and romantic, and basically everything I needed during these Uncertain Times. And, as a fat woman, it was REALLY great to read a book about a woman being vocal about the experience, without it feeling tropey.
(And it gets all the bonus points for a ton of clever “Bachelor” shoutouts. I’m a fan.)
Apologies for the long ramble of a blurb… It’s nearly 1 AM but I just NEEDED to talk about this book!
