Rediscovered Books will celebrate their grand opening with an all day party on Saturday, September 5th beginning at 10am. The day will start with face painting in the morning during the Saturday farmer’s market on 8th St. The first 100 people through the door will get a free book from Rediscovered. From 4pm onward, the Psych Sirens from Radio Boise will DJ through the night.
At 5pm, PostModern Brewers will arrive with beer on sale at the event. Anyone (21+ of course!) who purchases a beer will be entered into a raffle to win prizes from PostModern Brewers and Rediscovered Books. Rediscovered Books is brewing a special ginger IPA with PostModern Brewing to debut exclusively at the event. The raffle will begin at 6pm.
September 5 will be the last day for customers to purchase a bookstore bond as well. When customers purchase a bookstore bond (which is a gift certificate to the store) they’ll receive a 10% discount on everything they buy with the bond. Tours of the space will be available all day.
Bruce and Laura DeLaney opened Rediscovered Books in September of 2006 to create a place where people could find books and conversation. Since then, Rediscovered Books has grown into Boise’s downtown community bookstore, providing literature for the Boise area, author events, and an expert staff to help match customers with the right books. The store kicked off a fundraiser for their expansion this spring, and now everyone can enjoy the results.
