On Independent Bookstore Day (May 2, 2015), Rediscovered Books of Boise, ID, kicked off an indigogo fundraiser to expand their store.
This summer, the bookstore plans to extend into an adjacent retail space to increase their footprint. The extra space will allow them to bring in more books, more gifts, and more events. As they expand, they also hope to upgrade and redecorate throughout the store to give a unified, long-lasting appeal.
10 years ago, Bruce and Laura DeLaney had a dream: to create the type of bookstore they loved to visit when they were in Seattle or Portland. They wanted a bookstore where the staff loved to read and share their knowledge of books, a bookstore for people who were as passionate about reading as they were, and a bookstore that was not just located in the community but that was connected to the community. From this dream, Rediscovered Books was born.
You can watch a video about the store and its plans, read more about the fundraising campaign, and donate online here.
