“From seeing the trailer everywhere and knowing I wanted to see the movie, I had to read the book. It is sort of a code. Read the book then see the movie.
“The DUFF was everything I wasn’t expecting. I judged the book believing it was to be a stereotypical girl-wants-to-be-pretty-and-popular, gets-the-jock-to-help-her, and eventually-falls-in-love-with-him story. Nope, nothing like that. The book surprised me, which made me really love it.
“Bianca was a girl I could really relate too. Bianca’s mom files for a divorce, which backfires her dad into drinking again. Bianca looks for a distraction and it turns out to be Wesley Rush, the school’s jock. The rest was so unpredictable. It just kept me guessing what was going to happen next. The characters were so real. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys non-predictable books with a bit of comedy.”
