There are a whole lot of writers who don’t wear the uniform. The book world is full of them—librarians and booksellers who support the words of others every day of their working lives. Meanwhile, they belong to writers groups, have novels in the works or write a daily poem. The Pacific Northwest Reader gives voice—and a damn fine looking cover—to some of these writers who are just better known by their very important day jobs. So if your local bookseller or librarian puts this book into your hand, you might just want to cross check the name tag with the title page.
The Olympia Timberland Library invites you to meet some of the undercover contributors, who will ditch the register or circulation desk in favor of the podium on Saturday, June 4, 7pm, 313 8th Ave SE, Olympia.
Orca Books will be on hand with books. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of The Pacific Northwest Reader go to ABFFE, the American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expression.
