Portland author Daniel H. Wilson has a thing for robots—and robot books. The author of the “guides” How to Survive a Robot Uprising and How to Build a Robot Army gave Northwest booksellers an early glimpse of his young readers title A Boy and His Bot last fall (subsequently released this January and considered awesome by a certain eight-year-old we know), but did not tip anyone off to the forthcoming Robopocalypse, due in, sorry to make you wait, June.
We may have just learned of the book , but somebody else was apparently tipped off and knows the robot works of “Dr. Robotics” Wilson (he really did earn his Ph.D. in robotics form Carnegie Mellon) have serious ball bearings. Steven Spielberg will direct the film version, set for 2013.
