Writers Read is a cool little blog with new posts about four times a week, consisting of what a particular author is reading right now. A recent post is from Assistant Professor of History and Humanities at Reed College, Margot Minardi, whom, I must admit, I have never read. She is the author of Making Slavery History: Abolitionism and the Politics of Memory in Massachusetts. Not the kind of thing that Writers Read usually provides. On the other hand, the site does provide a very wide variety of authors and reading interests, which is a big part of its appeal. She sounds fascinating, and so do the books she is reading. Intellectual maybe, but fun.
