The Seattle authors who call themselves the Seattle 7 will sponsor a live novel October 11-16 as a benefit for literacy in the Northwest. At the event, thirty-six authors will take turns working on the same novel for six days at the Richard Hugo House (with happy hour and drink specials from 5-7pm). You’ll be able to watch the novel in progress here. Librarian celebrity Nancy Pearl will act as the event’s Fairy God-author. Sounds like fun! We’re pretending we haven’t noticed that the event is co-sponsored by a certain electronic book-trafficking company with the same name as a large South-American river.
