One of the nicest things about Matt Love’s blog is that he writes about himself only as a means to report someone else’s achievements. Last month it was a fisherman who wouldn’t eat his own catch, so he gave it to Matt, and kept giving to him for over a year. Yesterday, Matt posted a lovely tribute to Still Life with Woodpecker by Tom Robbins, buried in the story of the importation of foreign blackberries into Oregon, and, apparently, all of the Northwest. Matt teaches high school. He sees a lesson everywhere, and he shares a lot of them on his blog. Sweet.
