Waucoma Bookstore in Hood River, Oregon, nestled along the south bank of the Columbia River just a few hours from downtown Portland, but a life-time away in style, has dedicated the newest page of their blog to offering support for their own Hood River County Library. In many ways, our libraries are hurting worse than our bookstores are; and the owners and operators of independent bookstores recognize the overwhelming importance of  dependable, free public library systems.
