The Wedding People reminds me of a movie I saw years ago called “A Wedding” which starred numerous big names, including Carol Burnett, who was a hoot. Actually, the two stories aren’t really alike, but they are both big weddings filled with tons of people and a particular person who drops in to wreak havoc. Anyway, the bride has taken over an entire hotel in Newport, Rhode Island, and has everything planned down to the color of napkins at the reception. But she did not count on a last-minute crasher (well, actually stumbler) named Phoebe who brings with her the makings of an amazing outcome for the bride’s tale. Loved the sensitivity, humor and sly messages shared on these pages!

At long last, the paperback for The Wedding People arrives in stores on Tuesday, July 28! It took two years; that’s longer than most engagements and some marriages. Crash into a great story at Auntie’s Books and other independent bookstores.
