On Wednesdays, the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association Bestseller List is published. Every week, we love to see what books have been most popular in independent bookstores around our region. As we peruse the list, we look for something special to showcase. Then we present this weekly feature: Thursday Themes.
This week, two series dominate the regional bestseller list: the Dungeon Crawler Carl books by Matt Dinniman and the Game Changers series by Rachel Reid. Both are escapist, each in their own way– one about an apocalyptic game show and quirky characters, filled with adrenaline and humor; the other about love, sex, and hockey complete with lots of steam and spice. Get your dopamine where you can, and get the books that give it to you from independent bookstores.
