Every Wednesday, the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association publishes the regional bestseller list. On Thursdays, we celebrate Thursday Themes to shine a spotlight on some of the books from the list and give our brains a different way of thinking about books.

Independent bookstores’ readers come back for more! These regional bestsellers are part of a duology or series or the follow-up/ companion to another book readers loved. (There’s another on the list featuring the same main character as another book by the author, but I’m worried that might be a spoiler for some people.) We’ve not included the titles on the Children’s/ YA Series bestseller list, since it’s almost the whole list. (Some of those are the first in a series.)
