Now that it’s April, Independent Bookstore Day is coming right up!
This year, 29 (!!!) bookstores are participating in the Seattle Indie Bookstore Day passport challenge, the most ever. Start planning now if you want to be an Indie Champion by getting to all the bookstores between April 26, 2025 and May 5, 2025. The Champion Card is good for a one-time discount of 25% at each participating store over the year.
Participating stores will have passports on Independent Bookstore Day, April 26. Some stores are adjusting their hours to celebrate longer on Saturday, but some are not, so please make sure you check with stores on your route to verify hours.
This year there is an app to download for information about the participating bookstores, but you can also see the roster on the website.
If you don’t have the time or transportation to get to all stores within the 10 days of the Passport Challenge, there is also an option to visit 5 or more stores and receive a single-use coupon for 25% a purchase at any one participating store.
