What an exciting autumn in the Pacific Northwest! Seattle welcomes two amazing new bookstores.
Mam’s Books, owned by Sokah Danh, is the first independent Asian American bookstore in the Seattle. Since the store’s grand opening September 23, 2023, it has been filled with a steady stream of literary luminaries and community leaders like Karen Maeda Allman, Jamie Ford, Frank Abe, and Ron Chew. Check with the store for most current hours, but good bets are Fri: 4-7pm, Sat: 10am-7pm, Sun: 10am-5pm.

Charlie’s, owned by Charlie Hunts, has its soft launch this Saturday, October 28! Charlie’s is the “home of queer books and gag-worthy gifts.” The shop is jumping right into Fremont community life, promoting neighbor the botanicale’s puppy Sip n Snuggle and participating in the Fremont Halloween Trick or Treat. We can’t wait to take a browse!
