Every Wednesday, the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association publishes the regional bestseller list. On Thursdays, we celebrate Thursday Themes to shine a spotlight on some of the books from the list and give our brains a different way of thinking about books. Sometimes the themes come from the covers, sometimes the titles.
This week, a new release topped the Fiction list and gave us a very direct, very easy theme: horses.
Horse Geraldine Brooks (#1 Hardcover Fiction)
Many people think of horses as
Remarkably Bright Creatures Shelby Van Pelt (#14 Hardcover Fiction)
Next is one of the most frequently mis-remembered titles, but almost everyone remembers there’s a horse in there somewhere:
The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse Charlie Mackesy (#6 Hardcover Nonfiction)
Finally, not quite horse, but…
Not Quite Narwhal Jessie Sima (#10 Children’s Illustrated)
This week, Brandi Carlile’s Broken Horses dropped off the list, but we’re going to mention it anyway. It was a bestseller for many weeks and was featured in other Thursday Themes.
