It’s time for a Thursday Theme, where we shine a spotlight on some of the titles featured in this week’s Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association regional bestseller list.
While big, national preorder campaigns for much-anticipated fall titles served up some fresh titles (like this and this) for the bestseller list, we also noticed that books with local connections keep doing well in our local, independent bookstores. Authors in the PNW have been able to sign in-store copies and support their indies in creative ways throughout the pandemic, even while traditional book tours aren’t happening. (Kira Jane Buxton even wrote Third Place Books into her bestseller, Feral Creatures. Check out the great promo they did together for her launch.)
Here’s to the locals.
