Every Wednesday, the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association publishes the regional bestseller list. We thought it might be fun to have Thursday Themes where we shine a spotlight on some of the books from the list. Is it a trend? A coincidence? An eccentric millionaire seeking comfort by purchasing books from independent bookstores around the region to build a book fort? We can only speculate.
This week, we noticed there are quite a few titles that relate to trees on the bestseller list.
Finding the Mother Tree: Discovering the Wisdom of the Forest by Suzanne Simard (#2 on the Hardcover Nonfiction list)
Rooted: Life at the Crossroads of Science, Nature, and Spirit by Lyanda Lynn Haupt (#9 on the Hardcover Nonfiction list)
The Overstory by Richard Powers (#10 on the Paperback Fiction list)
The Tree in Me by Corinna Luyken (#3 on Children’s Illustrated list)
