Liberty Bay Books is teaming up with Kitsap County librarians to bring book bags to families in need during this COVID school year.
Each year WA State students read from the Sasquatch and Otter list and at the end of the year, they participate in a state-wide voting for their favorite book. This is a beloved activity of students and librarians alike. But this year, students won’t have easy access to their school libraries so Liberty Bay Books thought they would appeal to their customers for help.
Local librarians will identify families (to remain anonymous) and the bookstore will handle all shipping and delivery of the bags.
Two different bags are available for purchase:
Sasquatch Reading List bags, for 4th-6th graders, contain all 12 books from the 2020-21 Sasquatch Reading List, which is curated by WA State librarians. The price is $91.50, which includes a 10% discount.<
Otter Reading List bags, for 1st-3rd graders, contain all 6 books from the 2020-21 Otter Reading List, which is curated by WA State librarians. The price is $39 which includes a 10% discount.
