If you’d asked me, back in February, if I’d like to put all my time and energy into running an online business, I would have said, “No thank you!” But two months later, that’s exactly what has happened. Selling online might lack the satisfaction you get from perusing a shelf, picking up a book, flipping through its pages, but online sales are how Liberty Bay and every other independent bookstore will survive this mess. I am extremely grateful to everyone who has filled a virtual shopping cart.
Thank you.
…[H]ow can we help you? We’ve been giving books to local teachers. We’ve made personal deliveries for many of you who are not comfortable leaving the house. What else can we do? Are you having trouble finding educational materials for your kids? Do you need help finding the right book for a parent or a friend? While we continue to practice the guidelines our state has set, my son and I are answering the store phone Mon-Friday, Noon-4.
Call us. Let us help.
Stay strong WA. We are getting this important job done! As one of my favorite writers, Charles Dickens, wrote, “The pain of parting is nothing to the joy of meeting again.” See ya on the flip side!
From the store’s website:
Until we re-open, there are a few ways to purchase books from us. You can purchase here, online. At check-out you can choose to have the books mailed directly to you OR you can choose “in store pick-up.” If you choose, “in store pick-up,” we will contact you when your purchase is ready and you can come to the store for your curbside pick-up.
Your other option is to call us at 360 779-5909. We are answering the phone Monday-Friday, Noon – 4. You can place your order with us and arrange for pick-up.
We are dreaming of the day when we can welcome you into our beautiful store again.
Thank you, best wishes and happy reading!
