Bookstore Spotlight: The Neverending Bookshop
The Neverending Bookshop in Edmonds, Washington, is a new and used bookstore on a mission to match readers with their perfect book.
What does being an independent bookstore mean for you?
Everything! It’s a way to connect with my community through my favorite thing: books! My shop exists not just as a retail space, but as a place where imagination is lauded and people are made to feel safe.
What makes your store unique?
I do. I’m the owner and only employee. I’ve been in the bookselling industry since I was 15. I love what I do so much. Helping someone find that perfect book brings me so much joy.
What is the most rewarding part about running a bookstore?
Finding books that people are excited about, that they want to read. Being able to provide unique programs/book groups/story times to my community.
What do you think the future looks like for independent booksellers?
Bigger and brighter every day! I think maybe we might even save the world from mega corporations. You know, Captain Marvel style. — Annie Carl
