With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo came out last week. It’s a stunning book (look under the dust jacket!) and [Vintage Books and some other independent bookstores] have signed copies! [While supplies last…] 
I really loved this book! It’s a contemporary young adult about a young teen mother. In her search for identity and purpose, this story focuses on her final year of high school, as she begins to discover that her dreams can be a reality and she doesn’t have to sacrifice everything to be a mom. It’s beautifully written, raw and real without being TOO much of a tearjerker, but still tugging on the heart strings.

I love the dust jacket— we’re getting more and more books with POC represented on the covers which is amazing. I also love how the hardcover looks beneath the dust jacket.
