Madison Books, the new bookstore in the Madison Park neighborhood in Seattle owned by Phinney Books’ Tom Nissley and managed by James Crossley, is open for two weeks of holiday pop-up shopping before renovations are finished.
Here’s the update on the Phinney Books website:
Yes, as you may have read in our newsletter or other places, we are opening a second store, Madison Books, in the heart of Madison Park at 4118 E. Madison St. From December 10 to 24, we are hosting a pop-up shop in the space and then we’ll close again to complete our renovations, with a full opening currently scheduled for February. We’ll certainly let you know more details as we have them—thanks for making Phinney Books enough of a success that we can try something new like this!
From the Phinney Books newsletter:
Here’s the current plan: we’ll open for a couple of weeks in December as a bare-bones pop-up store in the space (at 4118 E. Madison Street). It won’t look like much, but we’ll have a lot of books, and we’ll be open for regular hours every day through Christmas Eve (and perhaps a little bit after). Then we’ll close down for a month or so, to get the space all ready for a grander opening, likely in early February.
Swing by and check out this bookstore-in-progress! Get an inside peek into what is sure to become a neighborhood oasis. It’s like getting inside Santa’s workshop, but with books. Madison Books is located at 4118 E. Madison Street, Seattle. The store’s hours are 10:00- 7:00 daily.
