It’s a big day for our country.
Alaska voters: Find your polling place and its hours online here. Absentee ballots must be postmarked by today.
Idaho voters: Get to the polls before they close tonight at 8:00 pm. Find voting locations here. Bring a photo ID if you have one (Idaho driver’s license or Idaho photo ID; US passport or federal photo ID; tribal photo ID; current student photo ID issued by a school in Idaho; concealed carry license issued by your county sheriff) or sign an affadavit at the polling place.
Montana: Most polls are open 7:00 am- 8:00 pm. Check the hours for your location with your county election office. For details about your polling place, click here.
Washington and Oregon are both vote-by-mail states, so many voters have already turned in their ballots, but it’s not too late!
Oregon voters: Your deadline for dropping off your ballot in an official drop box is 8:00 pm! If your day’s schedule makes it more convenient to drop at a drop box not near your registered address, there’s a full listing of the drop box locations here. Many of them are by libraries, so you get good book vibes, too.
Washington voters have until 8:00 pm to put their ballots in one of the official drop boxes, but do it earlier if you can. If you have a problem with your ballot (if the dog eats your ballot, say), contact your county auditors. Your county’s website should also have information about ballot drop box locations. (If you’re completing your ballot today, a ballot box is really best! To get them postmarked in time to be counted, the state recommended mailing before last weekend.)
After you’ve voted, take a close look at the photo from Phinney. Which books do you recognize? Tell us in the comments!
Special thanks to Anika Miller from Phinney Books for the photo.
