NWBL’s legal guardian, Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association, hosts an annual indie bookselling convention for member booksellers every fall. The three-day event features dozens of publishers and 100 authors, so you can imagine the tens of thousands of books that make their way to the host facility for displays, autographing and giveaways.
The last show was October 2015, but just a few weeks ago, PNBA received a notice from the hotel that a recently delivered package was earmarked for the group. Intriguing. And with a Portland meeting scheduled, it wouldn’t be too difficult to swing by the hotel to pick up this mystery box.
On the trunk of the rental car. . . drum roll, please. . . the complete “Bridgerton Series” by bestselling Seattle author Julia Quinn—who wasn’t even one of the authors featured at that show! Who knows why they were sent—who cares!
We’ll randomly draw the name of one of our commenters who lets NWBL know the indie from which they’d buy their Julia Quinn novels—if they had to. Comments are open for a week, and we’ll notify the winner after Independent Bookstore Day.
[We can only ship to US addresses that can receive a box o’ books.]
I’d buy Julia Quinn novels from Village Books in Bellingham, WA. VB is part of my family! Thank you.
Nice family. Does that mean holidays in Fairhaven!
Yes, absolutely! It’s a holiday tradition!
