Big news from Stanwood, WA’s Snow Goose!
To our dear friends and customers:
It’s hard to believe that nearly 18 years have passed since we moved to Stanwood to take over ownership of the Snow Goose Bookstore. As the old saying goes, time passes quickly when you’re having fun, and our time at the Goose has been a pleasure and a privilege. But the passing of the years has meant one other thing– namely, we got, well, old. So after much rumination, we’ve decided to hang up our bookselling shoes, and are now actively looking for someone– maybe even you– to become the proud new owner of Snow Goose Books & Frames.
Because we know that the Goose means as much to you as it does to us, we will do everything we possibly can to see it safely into new owners’ hands. We believe that, with new (and younger) energy and vision, the store can and will continue to serve this community for many years to come.
Through your support, the Snow Goose has stood as a Main Street icon for 30 years. We’ve worked hard to make it a sustainable business, refining our inventory, participating in community events, and adding our frame shop this last year with just that purpose in mind. So our search is on – looking for that someone special with a passion for books and reading, a desire to provide excellent customer service, and with the dedication and good judgement it takes to own and operate a small business. If you think you – or someone you know – might be that someone special, please contact our friends and colleagues at the Bookstore Training Group of Paz & Associates at (904)277-2664 or by email at [email protected]. They can not only let you know more about our business and its potential, but also can provide you with the necessary training and education to succeed as a bookstore owner.
So, until the day we actually hand over the keys, know that it’s business as usual here at the Goose. You’ll still see our familiar faces behind the counter, still find our favorite books marked with our recommendations, still count on us for beautiful custom framing.
We are, and will remain, your friends,
Kristine & Tom
(looking forward to a little down time)
