Registration is open now (with Early Bird pricing until June 30).
Some of the film agents and producers include Niki Montazara, Paradigm; Alison Haskovec, VP of Development, Evergreen Studios; Daniel Inkeles, Sony Pictures Animation: and for agents and publishers, Danielle Marshall, Amazon Publishing; Angela Rinaldi, literary agent; Kerry D’Agostino, Curtis Brown, ltd, and many others. William Hertling on Advanced Marketing Techniques; Jennifer Lauck on writing memoir; Larry Brooks, www.storyfix.com, Story Through Structure, are some of the many workshop presenters.
Lux Alani brought her self-published Little Vanilla Book to the 2014 conference. She charmed everyone that she met, from agents and editors to volunteers and staff to other attendees, and met her new agent from the Angela Rinaldi Literary Agency. Just three months later, her Little Vanilla Book was acquired by Beyond Words, an imprint of Simon & Schuster.
Fonda Lee first pitched her YA science fiction novel to agents at the 2013 annual conference. She received three offers of representation from that weekend in August and sold the book to a publisher in December. Zeroboxer hit the shelves this past April. Says Fonda, “The 2013 Willamette Writers conference undoubtedly jumpstarted my writing career.”
