From the vegetable-filled goodness of Plenty More by Yotam Ottolenghi to the elegant Pacific Northwest recipes in Renee Erikson’s A Boat, a Whale, and a Walrus, the cookbooks have been calling this fall. Based on my coworkers’ leftovers for lunch and all the tasty photos of homecooked meals on facebook, I’d say folks aren’t just buying the cookbooks– they’re using them, too.
I’ve been enjoying hearty (and easy) vegan recipes from Isa Does It by Isa Chandra Moskowitz. A recent favorite was the Red Lentil Thai chili (p. 167), and I think I may try the Harira with Eggplant and Chickpeas (p. 38) this week.
Tuesday brings more temptations, though, like Fresh & Fermented. That macaroni and cheese at left my be calling my name, and I have been on a sauerkraut kick lately, too…
Do you have a favorite fall cookbook? What are you cooking this season?
