“Utterly unique, unforgettable prose . . . I read this book through in an afternoon. Heller has gained a career-following fan.” —Janis, head buyer at Eagle Harbor Book Company.
Denver author Peter Heller, an adventure writer and longtime NPR contributor, will join Eagle Harbor Book Company, Liberty Bay Books and WEST SOUND READS at the Kitsap Regional Library in Poulsbo Tuesday, Aug. 14, at 7:30pm to discuss his debut novel featuring a pilot lost in a world gutted by a flu pandemic.
The Dog Stars goes on sale tomorrow and has already received much praise. “For all those who thought Cormac McCarthy’s The Road was the last word on the post-apocalyptic world, think again. Heller has dark and glittering news from the future and delivers it in prose that stops you like a wolf in the snow. Make time and space for this savage, tender, brilliant book.”—Glen Duncan, author of Talulla Rising.
