Just finished Abel Keogh’s dystopian fiction, The Third, which drops you directly into a world where children are seen as a nuisance and, worse, expendable. People are near starving, and third children are ripped from their mothers bodies by a tyrannical government bent on saving mother earth and controlling the population . . . So excited to be giving away a signed copy @ Reading for Sanity!

For those who don’t know, Mindy used to work for me. Now she lives in Yakima, where her husband is a SWAT officer for the police department. She and I share an absolute love of books. When they first moved I sent her a “white box” care package and she called me up crying becase that was part of the job she was going to miss the most.
