Frankly, we’re tired of the debates, droning articles, prognosticating and the general chicken little-ing around the e-reader issue, but this is the kind of story that warms our bookseller hearts. Diana Portwood, manager at Bob’s Beach Books (Lincoln City, OR), tells us that a customer came in yesterday for The Hunger Games, the first in Suzanne Collins’ mega-popular YA sci-fi trilogy, saying she’d decided to buy it after having read a sample chapter on her Kindle.
