The book blogger at Well Read Fish wrote an effusive love note to Seattle’s Queen Anne Books after a recent first visit. “This is the indie bookstore of lore, of old times,” she writes. “I wouldn’t be surprised if you could set up an account to be billed later, like my childhood pharmacy . . .” She goes on to describe a scene where women were “curled into seats” checking out new releases; several fathers were reading aloud to their children; and she and the “spritely” bookseller Tegan Tigani swapped book blogs. It’s a nice tribute to a store that deserves it. Makes us wish we were there.
