Every Wednesday, the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association publishes the regional bestseller list. On Thursdays, we celebrate Thursday Themes to shine a spotlight on some of the books from the list and give our brains a different way of thinking about books.
Whether a main plot point is spinning straw into gold, a character lives in a town called or sings about the condition of being Golden, the goal is making something out of nothing, or “alchemy” is pretty much right in the title, we found many alchemical references in this week’s bestseller list.
