Independent bookstores have been big supporters of Antoni Porowski and his latest cookbook, Antoni: Let’s Do Dinner. The Emmy Award-winning author (the food and wine expert on “Queer Eye”) offers easy, fun, delicious recipes full of healthy ingredients and a few indulgences. His publicity team also sent around some life-sized cutouts of Antoni, so bookstores that received them have been living it up with cardboard Antoni, in real life and on social media. This drew “Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon’s attention… Watch this clip from the show, and pay special attention at the 2:30 mark!!!
Why yes, those are Pacific Northwest booksellers from Country Bookshelf posing with cardboard Antoni in Bozeman, MT, making real-life Antoni in NYC blush! Kasey Kane Charbonneau is in the orange on the left, and Jessica Hahl is in the green on the right, giving the thumbs up. Yippee!!!
Also worth noting: Many independent bookstores were able to order autographed copies of Antoni: Let’s Do Dinner, so if you or someone you know is a fan, try calling your favorite independent bookstore to ask if you can purchase a signed copy. (Not every store lists them as autographed copies on their websites, but it never hurts to chat with your friendly booksellers and ask if signed copies are available.)
