Nina Laden, author and illustrator, spoke with CNN’s Richard Quest this week. Her open letter to Amazon, stating her disappointment with the online retailer’s choice to offer competing titles at a lower price and state that it will take 2-5 weeks for her award-winning latest picture book, Once Upon a Memory, to ship (despite plenty of stock), has gotten people around the country talking about the negotiations between Amazon and Nina’s Once Upon a Memory parent publishing company, Hachette. NPR, CNBC, the New York Times, and CNN have all quoted or contacted Nina. Go, Nina! We’re always happy to buy your books at the indie bookstores who love you and support you!
