Secret Garden Books in Seattle wants to spread the word that you can buy audiobooks through libro.fm and support their store. (Seattle-based audiobook company libro.fm lets you support your favorite independent bookstore by choosing your bookstore when you create a free account.)
Although you do have to go to the libro.fm site to purchase the audiobooks, once you have your account set up and the free app downloaded to your phone, your purchases will link to your bookstore of choice seamlessly. You can use staff recommendations, like this Secret Garden list of recommended audiobooks, to choose books you’ll love listening to and support the booksellers who recommended them. You can also preorder audiobooks so they’ll show up in your libro.fm app as soon as they release. There’s a subscription model, too, and those monthly-accrued credits can even be used to send audiobook gifts.
