Anyway, Atmosphere: A GMA Book Club Pick: A Love Story is the story of Joan, who is thoughtful and reserved and content to teach physics and astronomy at Rice University. Until she stumbles onto an advertisement for women scientists to join NASA’s space shuttle program. Suddenly, Joan realizes there is more to life than teaching and being content. She’s got a secret passion for space! And so Joan signs up for astronaut training and we’re off to the races, well, outer space. Plan accordingly.
