On Wednesdays, the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association Bestseller List is published. Every week, we love to see what books have been most popular in independent bookstores around our region. As we peruse the list, we ponder patterns. Then we present this weekly feature: Thursday Themes.
The asterisks by books indicate that they are on our regional bestseller list but not on the national indie bestseller list. Independent bookstores are quite independent, it turns out. However, our regional bestseller list this week has a lot of books with regional connections, including a few sweeps of multiple books by an author on the list.
