The NW booklovers’ community extends beyond the Pacific Northwest… Here, we see a lovely photo of a display promoting an event at Book Passage in San Francisco. (I pulled this post’s headline from the great intro on the shelf talker pictured.) The picture was posted by former Third Place Books bookseller, Cheryl McKeon, on Facebook with the following explanation:
Hooray! I can urge readers in BOTH of “my” stores to welcome Elinor Lipman this week. Third Place Books neighbors — remember the fun we’ve had reading Elinor for book club over the years! She’ll introduce On Turpentine Lane to you Monday, Feb. 20 in Lake Forest Park. I’ll be welcoming Elinor to the San Francisco Ferry Building Book Passage Wednesday, 2/22, at 6 p.m. Need a laugh? (Who doesn’t?) Visit Turpentine Lane for Elinor’s trademark wit and heartwarming, pithy prose!
In addition to the state-spanning author adoration in that post, I also couldn’t help but delight in the cameo by signed copies Seattle author Laurie Frankel’s This is How It Always Is. Happy Monday!
