Seattle’s Book Larder cookbook store is hosting an event with Theresa Carle-Sanders, the author of Outlander Kitchen, on July 27 from 6:30- 8:00 pm.
Take a bite out of Diana Gabaldon’s New York Times bestselling Outlander novels, the inspiration for the hit Starz series, with this immersive official cookbook from OutlanderKitchen.com founder Theresa Carle-Sanders! Claire Beauchamp Randall’s incredible journey from postwar Britain to eighteenth-century Scotland and France is a feast for all five senses, and taste is no exception. From Claire’s first lonely bowl of porridge at Castle Leoch to the decadent roast beef served after her hasty wedding to Highland warrior Jamie Fraser, from gypsy stew and jam tarts to fried chicken and buttermilk drop biscuits, there are enough mouth-watering meals along the way to whet the appetite of even the most demanding palate.
We’re thrilled to welcome Theresa to our kitchen, where she’ll demonstrate (and you’ll get to try) Almond Squirts, a cookie inspired by Voyager. She’ll discuss how she connected her cooking to her love of Outlander, how she finds recipe inspiration in the stories (like, where do “Almond Squirts” come from?), and of course, she’ll sign copies of her beautiful new book, available for purchase that evening.
The event is free, but you do need to RSVP. You can do that on Book Larder’s event listing. Book Larder is located at 4252 Fremont Ave. N. in Seattle.
