Foreword Reviews announced its 2014 INDIEFAB Book of the Year Awards and the Gold Winner for Anthologies is Burnt Tongues: An Anthology of Transgressive Stories edited by Chuck Palahniuk, Richard Thomas, and Dennis Widmyer.
Chuck Palahniuk is, of course, Chuck Palahniuk. Richard Thomas, despite the bio notes you may encounter declaring him to be John-Boy, is Editor-in-Chief at Dark House Press and a contributor to LitReactor. Dennis Widmyer is a filmmaker and the founder of ChuckPalahniuk.net.
You can read Palahniuk’s introduction to Burnt Tongues, “The Power of Persisting,” on that very website.
You can buy Burnt Tongues from your local indie or from (we’ll forgive “The Waltons” goof) Indiebound.
Additional accolades are due Tim Palmer and Oregon State University Press for Field Guide to Oregon Rivers, the 2014 Silver Winner for Adventure & Recreation.
