I was in the kitchen cooking up some breakfast sausage (not chorizo, unfortunately) when this Morning Edition segment aired on NPR Radio, the perfect plug for this gorgeous and robust new volume. It’s being called a “bible” or “encyclopedia” of Mexican cooking, as it contains 600 recipes! But read on and listen on, and you’ll find it’s not nearly so daunting as the recipe count suggests. Most of these taste bud teasing selections (the photos are nearly flavored) are no more than a paragraph and have prep and cook times under 20 minutes.
